Opening parade – 1st February
The opening parade of the festival has been arranged on Session Road and Melvin Jones Grounds. The parade has been followed by the opening program. The parade is not just about seeing people walking in the colorful flowered costumes number of competition took place there including Panagbenga Festival dance,
Panagbenga Festival music, drum and lyre competition etc. In the parade, you should expect to see the young generation of the town including elementary students.
Parade and Street Dancing Competition – 4th Saturday of February
Different parades and street dancing competitions are the one of the main attraction of Panagbenga Festival. There is not any specific venue for this competition and parade. All you need to be anywhere between Session Road to the Melvin Jones.
Trade Fair and Bazaar – 1st Saturday of February to 1st Sunday of March
If you love shopping, especially the traditional things, then you need to be at trade fair and bazaar which is all about shopping different things. The good news about this activity is that it is not limited to one or two days but the whole festival. This bazaar has been arranged at Burnham Park.
Grand Float Parade – 4th Sunday of February
The name of the event must give you some idea that what you should expect there. This parade took place from Session Road to the Melvin Jones. Live music, dance, colorful costumes are the main attraction. Unlike another parade of the festival, the main and only theme of this parade is flowers, the different and every kind of flowers.
Session Road in Bloom – 4rth Monday of February to 1st Sunday of March
This took place at the Session Road. If you want to see a lot of flowers of different types at one place then you need to be at Session Road during the 4th Monday of the February to 1st Sunday of March.
The road has been closed for all type of vehicles during the occasions so you can enjoy it with peace and fresh mind. The whole road has been decorated with the flowers including the nearby buildings.
Closing ceremonies – 1st Sunday of March
The closing ceremonies of the festival took place at Athletic Bowl. It is a formal ceremony to end the festival where government person also spoke. It is equally big as the opening ceremony of the Panagbenga Festival. So, if you have missed any of the parades then this could be your last chance to join.
